Incredible

The book fair was incredible. There was a chamber orchestra playing on the front porch and tables were set up in the large back yard for the authors. Some people specifically came to meet the authors, while others strolled in off the street.

Many of us read a chapter or a poem and the audience was receptive and respectful.

My thanks to Nancy Boylan and Sheri Lohr, owner of SeaStory Press for putting together this wonderful event and featuring me as their author.

Book Fair

I'm going to be the featured author at the Key West Authors' Book Fair, tomorrow, 2-25, Saturday.

Everyone's invited.  Drop by. It's from 10-3. We're expecting a huge crowd.

Happy Paczki Day

To some it's Fat Tuesday,  to others Mardi Gras, but to me, it will always be Paczki Day.

Being Polish and born in Detroit, there is no forgetting the excitement of walking into the local  bakery, being met by the smell of sweet fried donuts filled with jelly, cream, or custard.

What Are Paczki and Why Is Everyone Freaking Out About Them ...

Dunkin' Donuts just doesn't do it for me here so I'll have to be happy with those great memories.

To those who know what I'm talking about, have one for me. 

It's about love

You can't buy it, you can't force it, but you can wish it.  And that's the purpose of this post.

I wish all my friends and family a Happy Valentine's Day.  I thank each of you for being there for me, for your support and caring.

It means the world to me.  And where would the world be without it?

ONLY IN KEY WEST

Went with a friend, Jill Lloyd Flanagan, to see the 801 girls on Thursday in Key West. Great show.
